Perspectives
The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) sponsors Perspectives, a lunchtime conversation series that evolved from the CCE's long-standing Brown Bag discussions. Gathering over a shared meal, each Perspectives centers on a social issue or initiative relevant to the Richmond community. Discussions feature at least one guest speaker who is directly invested in the week’s topic, whether personally, professionally, or through concerted civic action. This provides campus and community members with the opportunity to learn the perspective of individuals with active expertise in the subject at hand, and also to share their own. Diverse opinions, uncertain understanding, and respectful disagreement are always welcome.
