The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement hosts opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to experience Richmond, learn about its history, and engage in current conversations.

VICPP Student Day of Action

Thursday, January 30, 6-8:30 p.m. & Friday, January 31, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

The CCE is covering the registration fee and transportation for 10 students to attend VICPP's Student Day of Action. Join Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy (VICPP) for their annual gathering at the state capitol for students and young professionals. You will have the opportunity to advocate on important policies affecting thousads of Virginians. Afterwards, everyone will gather to debrief, enjoy lunch, and attend workshops on key issues. An optional, but recommended, event is taking place Thursday evening which includes dinner and an Advocacy 101 traning.

Richmond School Board Meeting

Monday, March 3, 5-8 p.m.

Join us on an excursion for dinner and discussion with special guest Professor Wendell Roberts. Then we'll head to the Richmond School Board meeting to see it in action. Transportation is provided for the first 21 registrants.
