The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement and Career Services invite students staying on campus to participate in YRichmond, an exciting opportunity for college students to enjoy all that the Richmond region has to offer, organized by ChamberRVA. YRichmond events include a Richmond Ivy game, Friday Cheers concert, paddleboarding on the James River, and more! View the full calendar.

The YRichmond Summer Kickoff will be on Thursday, June 5 at 6 p.m. at the Intramural Fields on campus.

Volunteering with Special Olympics

Special Olympics Virginia will on our campus June 6-7 for the 2025 Summer Games, and volunteers are needed in the following areas:

• Tennis
• Bowling
• Swimming
• Softball

• • Biggest need is Softball Skills 6/7 8am located at the Upper/Lower Grass Fields at U of R

• Athletics
• Logistics & Special Events

Volunteering with James River Parks System

Volunteers play a vital role in the life of the Jamer River Parks System. Invasive plant removal opportunities are posted throughout the summer months. Learn more.

Volunteering with Feed More

There are a variety of opportunities for both individuals and groups who’d like to get involved with Feed More, from sorting perishable and nonperishable donations to preparing and packaging food in our Bayard Community Kitchen or delivering our Meals on Wheels.

RVA First Fridays

Every first Friday, 5–9 p.m. 
Downtown Richmond's long-standing monthly art walk happens year-round on the First Friday of every month. Galleries, shops, restaurants, non-profits, and more open their doors in celebration of creativity and community. Learn more.

Every Saturday, 8 a.m.–12 p.m.
