Community Engagement Faculty Council
In 2024-25, the Bonner Community-Engaged Learning Initiative Fellows proposed that the Bonner Center for Civic Engagagement convene a new faculty council. The Community Engagement Faculty Council was formed in 2025-26.
The Community Engagement Faculty Council is a faculty advisory and leadership body established in collaboration with the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement. The Council provides structured faculty input and leadership to strengthen the University’s commitment to community engagement and to support the development of community-engaged teaching and scholarship.
In 2025-2026, the newly formed council focused on the topic of risk management. In conversation with the Office of the Provost and the Office of Risk Management, the group defined some key questions and needs related to risk management and community engagement, laying out a plan for addressing risk with faculty.
