April Kim brings a wealth of experience in project management, operations, communications, and executive administrative support to the Bonner Center of Civic Engagement (CCE). Currently, April provides administrative support to Amy Howard (associate provost for strategic initiatives and community engagement) and Sylvia Gale (executive director for the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement).
In her most recent role as a fund associate at Trolley Ventures, she supported seven investment committee members, sourced deals and performed initial assessments for startups seeking funding, developed the website and internal databases, and coordinated meetings and annual partner gatherings.
As a consultant at The Sandbox Collective, April provided operational and human resource support to startups. She offered her expertise to founders, supported fundraising efforts, reviewed and evaluated pitch decks, assisted the finance team in building models, and created internal resource guides among other key tasks.
Prior to motherhood, April was a VP for the Marketing Business Development team for Bank of America. She supported nationwide projects for Sales & Service and Online Migration and helped develop the Customer Identification Program for the telephone banking channel.
April Kim graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Health, Fitness, and Recreation Resources with a specialization in Health Promotion and Exercise Science in 1998.
In her free time, April is competitive USTA 4.5 tennis player that enjoys pickleball, arts and crafts, reading, and family time.
