Ashley Buffey is the associate director of operations for the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE). She supports key initiatives to advance the University of Richmond’s community engagement goals by leading budgeting, assessment, system design, and culture development within the Center.
She joined the University in 2022 as assistant director of operations for Equity & Community before assuming her current role in 2024. Previously, she was the director of extended programs at St. Michael's Episcopal School. Prior to that, she lived in Central America for a number of years in varied programming & operational roles with Peace Corps, Rustic Pathways, and International Justice Mission.
She holds a B.A. with honors in international social justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Richmond M.B.A. candidate, with an anticipated graduation in 2026. Her favorite things about Richmond are Brown's Island concerts, Huguenot Flatwater paddleboarding, and shopping local vendors in Carytown.Expand All-
