    Libby Germer is an experienced educator and dynamic leader who was raised in the Pacific Northwest. She has degrees from Whitworth University, The College of New Jersey, and a post-master's certificate of educational leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. She taught history for 13 years in diverse school settings in our region: George Wythe High School (now Richmond High School for the Arts), Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, Veritas Classical Christian School, and she was the principal of Church Hill Academy (now Rise Academy).

    During her time at George Wythe High School, Libby's Honors Government class won the RSP History Fair then presented their work at VCU and Yale University conferences. In addition, she was named George Wythe's "Teacher of the Year" in 2016. Libby understands the challenges facing young people and the unique educational landscape of the Richmond area. She is a compassionate, collaborative coach with a passion for student engagement, social justice, and the common good.
