  • Profile
Caroline Dean Glover (she/her) is passionate about creating high impact learning spaces in higher education where students can engage with their local communities. Most recently, Caroline worked as an Experiential Learning Coordinator for the Transform Living Learning Community at VCU. In this role, she worked with Richmond community members to develop experiential learning opportunities for students, advised a cohort of civically engaged student leaders, and taught an introductory course based on reflection and career preparedness.

Prior to moving to Richmond, Caroline lived and worked in Greensboro, NC. As a Student Engagement and Events Manager with Campus Greensboro, her work focused on creating strong campus-community partnerships through paid summer internships, community mentor programs, and civic engagement opportunities for local college students. However, Caroline's passion for civic engagement branches far beyond her professional roles. During both her undergraduate and graduate experience at Elon University, Caroline worked closely with the Kernodle Center for Civic Engagement. She supported a variety of projects at Elon that involved student organizations, alternative break programs, volunteer management system updates, and more. She credits her original interests and appreciation for campus-community partnerships to the meaningful conversations and mentoring she received from the professional staff and student leaders in the Kernodle Center. Caroline graduated with her Master of Arts in Higher Education from Elon University in May 2020.

Outside of the office, Caroline enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors. Growing up in Morganton, NC, Caroline has always visited the Blue Ridge Mountains and is looking forward to exploring more of the Shenandoah National Park trails in VA! Caroline also loves music and is a self-proclaimed band nerd. Growing up, Caroline played the flute and piccolo in her high school and college marching bands. She now enjoys her new hobby of learning to play guitar!
