Cody Fleeger
Program Manager, Community-Engaged Learning

Cody joined the CCE staff in August 2016. He previously served on staff at Community Alliance Church (Butler, PA) and as a youth basketball coach with Urban Impact Foundation (Pittsburgh, PA) while coaching as an assistant for the Grove City College men's basketball team during the 2015-2016 season. Cody also brings three years of experience as a project manager with one of the nation's leading home-building companies.

What is your favorite/most meaningful book or film?

I don't really have a favorite but really enjoy movies about great coaches and teams such asCoach Carter andRemember the Titans.

Where are you originally from?

Butler, Pa.

What is your favorite restaurant or coffee shop in Richmond?

Pasture. My wife and I had dinner there on the night we were engaged, and it is still probably our favorite.

What is your favorite place or thing to do in Richmond?

I enjoy walking or biking the Canal Walk. It's a fun trail, and it can also connect you to other great places like Belle Isle or as far away as Williamsburg via the Virginia Capital Trail.

What does civic engagement mean to you?

Civic engagement means loving your neighbor and being intentional in community.
