Students
The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) serves University of Richmond students in a variety of ways, all geared toward helping them expand the educational experience from campus to the Greater Richmond community and beyond.
The CCE encourages students to participate in an array of programs and initiatives, take community-based learning courses, pursue community service opportunities, complete internships, apply for student programming grants and undertake research and analysis focused on questions of civic and/or social relevance.
The CCE also offers annual summer fellowships to support student research and internships that tackle these important issues.
Students are encouraged to drop by the CCE to read from the selection of newspapers and magazines, discuss issues with one of the Friday Brown Bag speakers or just sit down informally with other civic-minded students to debate current topics of interest.
The CCE staff is always available to assist those who want to learn how they can transform their service and classroom experiences into a greater understanding of social and civic problems.
Students may also wish to visit the University of Richmond Libraries’ Richmond area guide, which includes research tools and links for the Greater Richmond area.
