Programming Grants

The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) awards competitive grants to individual students, groups of students, or student organizations to support thoughtful programs that address social and civic issues and/or avenues for student engagement. Grant recipients may receive up to $750 in financial assitance as well as administrative support from CCE staff during program planning.

Applications may be submitted on a rolling basis until all program funds have been awarded for the current academic year. Students are encouraged to apply early in the semester during which the program will take place.

Because funding is limited, the CCE evaluates requests with the following goals in mind:

• A programmatic component that will educate the individual, group of students, student organization, or campus community about a social or civic issue
• Collaboration among individuals, groups of students, or student organizations
• Prioritization of projects and programs that address issues in the Greater Richmond area
