Marsh Civic Fellows

The Deborah L. Marsh Civic Fellows program, created to honor the memory of community-service advocate and Meals on Wheels president Deborah L. Marsh, will support an otherwise unpaid, academically grounded 10-week internship for one student each summer at a nonprofit organization in Greater Richmond.

The Marsh Fellowship provides $4,000 for the student, $1,000 for the student’s faculty mentor on the project, and up to $500 to the student for reimbursable housing expenses.

The Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) will select one Marsh Civic Fellow per year, beginning in 2009, from a pool of competitive applicants. Consideration will be given to the quality of the proposed internship project and the benefit of the project to the nonprofit organization.

Review the fellowship guidelines and apply online before 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
