ESL Tutoring Project
The ESL tutoring project, coordinated by the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE), connects University of Richmond students with UR staff members who wish to improve their English language skills. Students and staff from countries such as Haiti, Bosnia, Mexico, and Iran meet one-on-one on a weekly or biweekly basis to converse in English and work together on various learning exercises.
In addition to building language and teaching skills, the program offers staff and students the opportunity to interact and build relationships that might not happen within their normal work or study routines.
The tutoring program is available free of cost to all staff members, depending on the availability of trained student tutors. Interested staff and students should contact the ESL Tutoring Project.
