Resources for Faculty and Staff

The program manager, along with other CCE staff, provides logistical support for CBL courses, including:

• Helping faculty connect with community partners best suited to the course content
• Assisting faculty to design CBL courses that maximize the educational impact of the students’ community-based experience
• Discussing nationally identified best practices in CBL
• Orienting students to work in the community safely and responsibly
• Helping faculty to design assignments to aid in reflection and integration of experiences
• Identifying transportation options
• Providing some CBL small grants and fellowships
