Overview: CHAT is a home-based tutoring and mentoring organization designed to grow the Church Hill community and focused on helping students with basic math and reading skills while also helping to mentor them.


Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers would provide tutoring in reading, writing, and math to at-risk elementary school children. Tutoring sessions are held in the Strickland's home from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays during the school year. There are also Life Skills Training sessions on Wednesday from 6:15-7:30 p.m. Mr. Strickland served as the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship minister at U of R during the 2002-03 academic year.
