| Overview: | HSP serves the Mayan communities of Guatemala through transformational development projects and offers service-learning trips to North Americans in our ongoing mission to foster meaningful exchange and understanding across the Americas. HSP has been serving the Mayan Communities of Guatemala for over a decade now. Through their fair trade store in Carytown, AlterNatives, they offer fair trade goods and perspectives to the Richmond region. They also take teams of volunteers down to Guatemala every year to perform service projects. |
| Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer opportunities include coordinating and participating in service trips to Guatemala, arranging and helping out at fair trade and educational events, and organizational communications and maintenance. If you are interested in participating in a trip over spring break, stop by the CCE for more information! Updated May 2009 |
