Virginia Rehabilitation Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired

The Center for the Blind and Vision Impaired teaches blind persons strategies and skills to adapt to living without sight, and teaches people with partial vision ways to use their remaining sight more effectively.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Volunteer duties might include teaching keyboarding and computer skills; assisting with crafts, bowling, swimming, or other recreational activities; photographing and/or videotaping special events, classes, or training programs; serving as a teacher's aide in cooking, table skills, or home management classes. Currently, the Center is in great need of volunteers to be sighting guides for community-based activities in the evening.
