Overview:	The VCU Medical Center includes the 780-bed MCV Hospitals and outpatient clinics, MCV Physicians (a 600-physician-faculty group practice), and the health sciences schools of Virginia Commonwealth University. The medical center offers state-of-the-art care in more than 200 speciality areas, is one of the nation's leading academic medical centers, is the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center, and is a leader in health-care research.
	Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities There are opportunities for student volunteers in various inpatient, outpatient, and support services areas. These opportunities vary by semester. Volunteers are required to submit an application and a health form, complete TB testing, and attend one of the volunteer orientations scheduled at the beginning of each semester.
