Resources
As the coordinating hub for civic engagement linking the campus community to the Greater Richmond community, the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) encourages faculty and staff to take advantage of its many resources, including:
- Guidance in identifying and contacting the most appropriate community partners for a community-based learning (CBL) course, research project, or service opportunity
- Assistance with course design based on best practices for community-based learning
- Academically grounded events, such as the Brown Bag Discussion Series, that deal with a variety of civic and social issues
- Fellowships and grants for faculty who want to revise or create a course with a CBL component
- Research fellowships for faculty who want to pursue student-faculty collaborative research related to civic and social issues
