Students at the University of Richmond pursue community engagement through a variety of programs and organizations, as well as on their own. Increasingly, the University is connecting these efforts to formal curriculum through course-centered, community-based learning in Greater Richmond.

During the academic year, the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) uses a weekly listserv to notify interested students of one-time service opportunities in the community. To include your organization's service opportunity or event in the weekly listserv, please e-mail all relevant information to the CCE.  

The CCE also maintains a community opportunities directory where organizations can post ongoing volunteer needs.

ConnectRichmond is an online community information network that unites nonprofit organizations with academic resources. The site offers both a community research clearinghouse and a nonprofit resource center.

The University of Richmond Career Development Center (CDC) provides an extensive list of internships for students. Employers in the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors can post internships online or contact employer relations assistant Lynn Burgess by phone at (804) 287-6629 or e-mail.
